莫茹杰，⽣于 1995。本科毕业于美国洛杉矶加州艺术学院 CalArts 摄影系。上海 BROWNIE 签约艺术家。 2022 年三影堂“陪跑计划”⼊围⻘年艺术家。⽬前⼯作居住于四川。她作品的主要媒介和⼯作⽅法是基 于⾃然光影的摄影记录及装置组合。⼀直以来，艺术家总是以光作为材料—这种巧合来⾃于客观上的现 象观察，也来⾃于主观上的情感共鸣。光连接着不同维度的零碎细节并整合为⼀个新异世界，从⽽与观 众共享艺术家的内⼼体验。在她的灵动视⻆下，镜头被直接跨越，成为⼀个再现某种情绪和瞬间的现场； ⽽光也不仅仅是⼀种被动的材料，⽽是在与其他材料的互动中，不断建构着⽣活中的异托邦，以及流动 的艺术家身份；不断邀请⾃然与⽣命的⼊场，丰富了作品本身的意涵。
Mo Rujie, born in 1995, holds a bachelor's of fine art degree from the Photography Department at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) in Los Angeles, USA. She is a contracted artist with BROWNIE in Shanghai. Currently, she resides and works in Sichuan, China. Her primary mediums and methodologies are rooted in photography and installation based on the interplays of natural light and shadow. The artist consistently employs light as a material—this confluence arises from both objective phenomenological observation and subjective emotional resonance. Light interconnects disparate details across various dimensions, synthesizing them into a novel world, thereby conveying the artist's inner experiences to the audience. Under her perceptive lens, the camera transcends its conventional role as a mediational requirement, becoming a site for the representation of specific emotions and moments. Light is not merely a passive medium but actively engages with other materials, continuously constructing heterotopias within everyday life and shaping the fluid identity of the artist. It persistently invites the integration of nature and life, thereby enriching the inherent meanings within her works.
